The Specialist Neurodevelopmental Psychiatrist Dr. Stella Stat is the founder and scientific manager of ENIEA. After 10 years of international experience and recognition in Scandinavia (Denmark and Sweden) Dr. Stella Stat returned to offer comprehensive diagnosis and intervention services in the field of Neurodevelopmental Disorders for Adults in her homeland, Greece.
Dr. Stella Stat studied at the Medical School of Athens. In 2012, she received her specialty in Psychiatry from Sotiria Hospital. At the same time, she completed a 4-year postgraduate program in Dramatherapy (psychotherapy through Theater and Art). She is additionally trained in Systemic Family Psychotherapy, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and Behavioral Psychotherapy.
Since 2013 Dr. Stella Stat has worked as a in Inpatient and Outpatient Clinics in University, Public and Private Hospitals as a Medical Director in Scandinavia and has gained a 10 years administrative and clinical experience. As a specialist Psychiatrist she has worked with a wide range of psychiatric diagnoses across the whole age spectrum, from school-age children to third age. In the same years, she has gained clinical experience in the diagnosis and treatment of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) in both adults, adolescents and children. Dr. Stella Stat is accredited to administer ADOS with an international validity of over 90%.
From 2022 Dr. Stella Stat returned to her birthplace, Athens, where she founded the multidisciplinary Specialist Adult Neurodevelopmental Clinic ENIEA. She has adapted her knowledge of Good Practices from the health systems of Scandinavia, as well as England, where she is retraining, creating the unique ENIEA's Diagnostic Algorithm, adapted to the private practice setting, in order to achieve corresponding results. The doctor continues to participate every year in conferences and further trainings in Greece, Denmark and London, with renowned specialists from both Greece and abroad, such as the internationally renowned specialist in High Functioning Autism psychologist Tony Attwood, in order to ensure the high level of scientific knowledge according to the latest data.
In addition to her clinical work, she collaborates with organizations that offer services to people with autism and ADHD by undertaking individual and Group Supervision and Training of specialists working with Neurodiverse populations. Dr. Stella Stat is also socially active. She is a member of the Scientific Committee of the NGO Association of Caregivers of people with disabilities EPIONI. She conducts webinars, participates as a speaker in public Awareness Days about Neurodiversity and participates in ERASMUS+ programs on a voluntary basis, where she contributes to the transnational exchange of knowledge and Good Practices in Autism & ADHD.
Through her work she hopes to raise awareness in the community, to improve the lives of people with Neurodiversity and contribute to the destigmatization of Autism and ADHD, pursuing equal rights for Neurodiverse people and their Families. Her vision is the creation of an inclusive society that does not place high demands on individuals, accepts them as they are and meets them with their own terms.
