The first appointment is exploratory. Previous diagnoses, examinations, medications and psychometric tests are recommended to be presented at the first appointment.
After the second appointment, we will inform you whether it makes sense to proceed with further investigation of Neurodevelopmental Disorder.
The average number of appointments for a Neurodevelopmental Disorder investigation in an adult is 5.
The diagnostic process is individualized and may therefore include a broader neuropsychological examination.
The participation of one relative or significant other is recommended after individual evaluation. The doctor may request the participation of additional relatives or ask any of the participants to leave during the evaluation, if deemed necessary.
The investigation, even after completion, may not lead to a diagnosis of a neurodevelopmental disorder.
If another diagnosis is deemed more relevant than the one you applied for, you will be informed accordingly. However, this may require a separate diagnostic procedure.
Previous diagnoses are not the subject of the above investigation, but part of the history and you will be asked to provide relevant opinions.
Changes to medication prescribed by other specialists for other diagnoses are not undertaken by ENIEA.
If the diagnosis of ADHD has been made by another context/specialist and you wish to receive medication, the above diagnostic procedure is required and communication with other specialists around the examinee is desirable.
Initiation of medication at ENIEA is only done when indicated according to our own clinical assessment and the individualized treatment plan.
If there is previous medication for other diagnoses (eg for psychosis, epilepsy, personality disorder, bipolar disorder) or psychotherapy, we cooperate with the respective specialists.
In case of severe comorbidity (e.g. suicidal tendencies, substance use, severe personality disorder, schizophrenia, severe mental retardation) we refer to a public structure.
Medication monitoring is done by scheduled appointments, initially weekly until stabilization at a therapeutic dose and then monthly.
We cannot provide automatic prescription renewal without monitoring.
We do not provide emergency support to people we have not taken on for treatment.
